Ball Season is here!

Hi everyone!

It's officially ball season!! Last weekend was the Wakatipu Highschool Formal, and I had my first ball clients of the year. A group of four girl were excited to get their glam on for the big night.
What was actually really cool about these girls was that some of them had never worn or only minimally worn it, so it really was a transformation. Formal makeup has got to be my favourite to do, especially when they haven't worn much makeup before because they ask a lot of questions so it's fun to educate them at the same time, having them leave knowing more about makeup, as well as looking absolutely stunning!

The girls all came with photos/ideas of the look they were wanting - which gets both the client and the artist on the same page about what kind of look to go for. I feel that these looks were timeless and classy. A big focus on the skin with these girls as they all had beautiful skin to start off with, even one of them requesting that she still wanted her freckles to show through - absolute godsend! Having a good base is so important to any look, bronzed and glowy was the go to here!

The reason why I love being a makeup artist is this - the look on a clients face when they look in the mirror when you're finished (seriously gives me such a rush), being able to boost people's confidence by making them look and feel amazing, and having the ability to pass on some of my knowledge and product recommendations.
